Warehouse Process/Improvement/Project Engineer ENG/FR


Your new company

As a Warehouse Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall efficiency of the distribution center. Your responsibilities will include analyzing processes, developing tools, managing projects, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.


Your new role

You will be the specialist in various distribution center systems such as PKMS, Pyramid, Beumer, and Knapp, converting data into actionable information. Your role involves analyzing the efficiency of equipment, processes, and teams, and visualizing information for better decision-making.

  • In process improvement, you will understand the functionality and interfaces of different systems, have a technical understanding of Material Handling System Equipment, and create functional descriptions of process flows. You will propose system changes, follow up with system suppliers, and develop and implement Continuous Improvement methodologies like Lean and Kaizen with operational teams. Using industrial engineering techniques, you will improve efficiency, space utilization, accuracy, safety, and speed. Additionally, you will optimize location management, product slotting, warehouse layout, and logistic plans, making proposals to improve process flows and creating functional descriptions and procedures.
  • In project management, you will implement and follow up on projects with cross-functional teams, manage projects with a structured approach, and communicate clearly with the project team and higher management.
  • For tool development, you will use tools to identify opportunities, analyze processes, and follow up on results. You will define needs for tools, develop basic tools for analysis and follow-up, and collaborate with data analysts and IT to develop new tools.
  • In re-engineering, you will generate drawings using AutoCAD, develop preliminary design concepts, review RFQs, and participate in re-engineering projects. You will also calculate and follow up on existing and future capacities for both storage and throughput.


Your profile

  • You should have a degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent, with min. 5 years of experience in an operational, automated environment.
  • You should be skilled in process improvement techniques such as Continuous Process Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, and motion studies, and proficient in queries and data analysis.
  • You should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, keep the big picture in mind, and be passionate about automation processes. Curiosity and a willingness to learn, autonomy, flexibility, team spirit, good communication skills, and attention to detail are essential.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory, with French being optional. You should be proficient in MS Office, Excel & VBA, MS Project, Visio, Power BI, WMS and WCS systems, and AutoCAD or similar software.
