European Finance & Tax Compliance Manager

Robert Half is currently recruiting a European Finance & Tax Compliance Manager to join a global company who is a leader in its field.

Our client is located near Antwerp .

As a European Finance & Tax Compliance Manager, your responsibilities will entail :

• Collect financial information to assist external advisors with LGAAP account preparations (including IFRS to LGAAP conversions).
• Prepare and monitor statutory accounting for the Belgian parent company, including compliance with Workers Council and Board reporting requirements.
• Gather financial and tax information for Corporate Income Tax (CIT) return preparations.
• Ensure timely follow-up of statutory accounts and tax legal deadlines alongside local finance teams.
• Calculate transfer pricing for EU branches of the Belgian parent company.
• Manage VAT and Intrastat reporting deadlines.
• Conduct R&D tax credit calculations for the Belgian parent company.
• Review and oversee quarterly tax reporting in collaboration with the Group Head of Tax.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across corporate and local-level finance teams.
• Note: This role does not involve direct people management; the title reflects the complexity and seniority of responsibilities.

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience :

• A master's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience, ideally in finance or audit.
• Robust knowledge of direct and indirect tax regulations.
• Expertise in accounting, with strong experience in Belgian GAAP (knowledge of IFRS is a plus).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting.
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in SAP and knowledge of Dutch will be considered a plus.
