Junior Project Engineer

Freelance - Junior Electrical Project Engineer - Antwerp Region & US - Immediately

We are looking for extra hands in our Controls Team to deliver project solutions and on-site electrical commissioning using established engineering standards. In a young, modern environment, we are looking for Juniors to come and learn and improve themselves with us through "doing".

Your tasks:

• Design & Documentation: Create, update, and review electrical schematics.
• Commissioning & Testing: Assist with on-site electrical commissioning, troubleshooting, and system validation.
• Develop standard and custom Safety Designs for machine building.
• Collaboration: Work with mechanical, software, and automation teams to integrate systems efficiently. Also be able to hold good communication with suppliers and clients.
• Continuous Improvement: Optimize designs and propose improvements.

Must have skills:

• AutoCAD
• Safety Design
• Experience with Industrial Automation software platforms for controlling PLC's (e.g Siemens, Beckhoff or Schneider)
• Fluency in English

Nice to have skills (training available to improve on/introduce during on-boarding phase):

• Visio
• MOvidrive C
• Siemens Proneta

It's a bonus if you have basic EPLAN knowledge as well.

General Conditions:

• Start date: Before June 1st
• Location: On-site around Antwerp, and 30% traveling abroad (US), with 1 day working from home.
• Workload: 100% full-time
• Contract type: Freelance
• Must be eligible to work in Belgium without visa sponsorship
