Mechanical Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of large-scale construction projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

• Monitor day-to-day field activities, manage the flow of information, and track and report issues related to progress, quality, and safety.

• Assist in completing the handover plan, ensuring all documentation is finalised and expectations are met within the agreed timeframe and quality.

• Act as a visible leader on-site, evaluating progress and ensuring adherence to safe working practices.

• Coordinate with client teams, consultant teams, and contractors on snagging activities, including managing schedules and partner engagement.

• Proactively identify potential issues and collaborate with the team to resolve them effectively.

• Implement and monitor key project processes, working with the client to identify areas for improvement and revision.

• Ensure project procedures are followed consistently and take necessary steps to maintain compliance.

• Lead and participate in key project meetings to monitor progress, solve problems collaboratively, and communicate any impacts to stakeholders.

• Review proposed project variations and potential delays.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in project management, specifically within large-scale data centre projects with a focus on mechanical systems.

• A degree or relevant experience in project management or a construction-related field.

• A project management professional certification (or willingness to work towards obtaining one).

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• Strong relationship-building skills, fostering open communication and a positive team dynamic with both internal and external stakeholders.
