Human Resources Manager – Greenfield Industrial Site (Agri-Food Sector) | Northern France

Asenium, a leading European consultancy specialized in high-value talent acquisition, has been mandated by one of its clients – a rapidly growing international company in the agri-food industry – to recruit a Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function for its new production site in Northern France.
This site, expected to be operational in 2027, will represent a flagship facility in terms of innovation, sustainability, and people management.
We are looking for a visionary HR leader with proven experience in setting up new industrial operations, capable of driving recruitment, organizational development, and human capital strategy from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and integration of all future employees for the new site (target: +300 employees).
- Roll out the corporate learning & development programs locally, including the coordination of internal training academies.
- Coach managers on performance management, talent development, and team leadership.
- Act as the main point of contact for all HR-related matters.
- Ensure full compliance with local labour laws and internal HR policies.
- Define and manage compensation and benefits policy, budget adherence, and workforce planning.
- Foster a healthy and positive work culture, with a strong focus on safety, wellbeing, and employee engagement.
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with employee representatives and social partners.
Profile Sought:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Law, or Management (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of HR management experience in the food manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Proven track record in greenfield or site start-up projects is a strong asset.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Strong leadership, empathy, and organizational skills.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and able to work under pressure and with changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiar with budgeting, project management, and social dialogue.
