, an international company operating in multiple European countries is seeking a
Payroll and Compensation & Benefits Specialist (m/f/x)
to oversee payroll processes and related benefits administration across various entities globally. The role requires a proactive individual skilled in payroll execution.
The ideal candidate will lead operational payroll functions while also supporting strategic initiatives such as the cleanup of contractual discrepancies, mapping Compensation & Benefits policies, and providing guidance on fiscal requirements.
Key responsibilities as a Payroll and Compensation & Benefits Specialist:
Payroll Management:

Execute full-cycle payroll processes for multiple countries (knowledge of international Payroll is not necessary, training will be given) You must have experience in at least the Belgian Payroll;

Validate payroll instructions submitted by transactional teams abrouad, and ensure timely accuracy;

Collaborate with payroll vendors.
Compensation & Benefits Administration:

Clean up and review existing contracts to align with regulations of each country;

Map and streamline Compensation & Benefits policies;
-
Provide administrative support for strategic updates (e.g., pension plans);
-
Reactively manage benefits queries while transitioning toward a more strategic structure for policies.
Collaboration & Reporting:

Report to the HR Manager while liaising with internal stakeholders;

Provide instructions to operational teams abroad for transactional and payroll validations;

Work cross-functionally to integrate business unit payroll.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience for our client:

Required Payroll Experience:
Must have successfully overseen full-cycle payroll operations, ideally in an international setting;

Country-Specific Expertise:
Foundational knowledge of payroll, fiscal policies, CAO (collective labor agreements), etc;

Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with tax regulations, pension plans, and employment laws for multiple regions;

Compensation & Benefits Knowledge:
Understanding of administrative and strategic principles tied to employee benefits.
