Purpose of the Position
As a Short Term Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for controlling and coordinating aircraft maintenance planning for operational aircraft within a 1-month forecast period. Working in close collaboration with the LMCC, contracted maintenance organisations, and flight operations. Your goal is to ensure all short-term maintenance tasks are performed efficiently and on time, minimising disruptions to the flight schedule. You will also oversee the technical records related to planned maintenance actions.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan Line Maintenance tasks within a 1-month forecast period, ensuring timely preparation of fleet campaigns, engineering orders, Airworthiness Directives, and Service Bulletins.
- Coordinate with MROs to confirm downtime slots, availability of qualified staff, and the necessary materials before work pack creation.
- Secure direct agreement and acceptance from MROs (via phone or email) before launching the planned tasks, ensuring they are approved to perform the required maintenance.
- Create work packs that comply with maintenance standards (e.g., MH, repair times), incorporating scheduled maintenance tasks, deferred defect rectifications, and troubleshooting advice while considering human factors.
- Work closely with LMCC, Logistics, Flight and Ground Operations to coordinate maintenance slot planning and execution.
- Monitor MRO activity daily, ensuring agreed tasks are being performed as planned, and provide continuous updates to LMCC, Planning, and Logistics.
- Participate in the daily fleet status meetings -reporting on maintenance plan readiness with up-dates on the manpower, materials and tooling planning.
- Maintain and oversee KPI performance, ensuring all completed tasks are logged accurately in relevant platforms or databases.
- Track and monitor all materials related to maintenance, ensuring proper oversight of their movement to and from MROs.
- Identify and escalate commercial and regulatory deficiencies, participating in corrective action plans and recommending quality improvements when necessary.
- Ensure financial documentation is properly maintained to support financial controls.
- Adhere to quality management procedures, reporting deficiencies and constantly seeking ways to improve service quality.
- Support and participate in technical projects as assigned.

Requirements and qualifications
- Degree in Aviation, Engineering, or equivalent experience in aircraft maintenance planning.
- Experience in planning of aircraft maintenance
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an aviation maintenance or CAMO environment.
- Understanding of aircraft maintenance programs, contracts, and inspection techniques.
- Experience with Airbus and/or Boeing aircraft is a plus.
- Fluent in English (French & Dutch is an asset).
- Proficiency in MS Office and aviation maintenance systems.
- Ability to make decisions independently and be time conscious.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
