The Role

• The Microbiology Specialist will play a key role in the success of our microbiology products by providing technical expertise, supporting business activities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• This position bridges the technical and commercial aspects of our offering, enabling us to respond efficiently to customer needs and market demand.
• This position is based in the Walloon region and reports to the Belgium Sales Manager.

The Profile

• University degree in microbiology, biological sciences, or similar. A Master's degree is an asset.
• Good understanding of microbiological principles, their applications, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot).
• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English,
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Experience with diagnostic reagents and culture media.
• Knowledge of microbiology regulations (e.g., ISO standards, FDA regulations, GMP).
• Experience in technical training and facilitating customer workshops.

The Responsabilities

• Product Expertise: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of microbiology products and services.
• Commercial Support: Collaborate with the sales team by providing technical support.
• Client Interaction: Be the main technical contact in microbiology for our clients, responding to inquiries and solving problems.
• Market Monitoring: Follow market trends and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and potential product improvements.
• Technical Documentation: Write and review technical documents, including product specifications and presentations.
• Product Launches: Participate in the planning and execution of new product launches, including marketing strategies and promotional materials.
• Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, marketing, Life Sciences, and operations teams to align the product offering with customer needs and company objectives.
