Crew Payroll Officer

The Marine HR Department

The Marine HR Department is playing a critical role in ensuring that our organization have a skilled and competent workforce to support our operations. We arrange and coordinate all aspects relative to Worksite Personnel being employed, paid, appointed, joining and leaving Client Worksites, all in accordance with the company Quality Management System and associated work processes and client specific requirements. What You will Do

This position is responsible to:

a) Prepare Crew payroll according to statutory requirements and ensure cash flow to Master according to requirements.

b) Facilitate, expedite, and support the processes involved in payment of crews to the managed vessels, including maintaining systems, records, and information.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • To prepare crew payroll for "Pool members" and non-Pool members of BE and Dutch flag
  • Initiate new employee file, bank account
  • Input all data in relation with salaries
  • To maintain Vessels' correspondence regarding crew payroll
  • Establish the monthly and annual account report
  • Keep records of calculation and operations of wages taxes social security contribution and related matters.
  • To prepare crew payroll for PTC (separate system)
  • To check invoices related to crew payroll
  • To liaise with accounting department for verification of cashbooks
  • To report to the accounting department


What We Are Looking For

Education: BSc in Business Administration / MSc in Shipping and International Trade

Experience: At least 2 years in Crew Payroll position

Specific Business Knowledge: Dutch and Belgian Flag / Social Security Benefits for Seafarers
