Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our client in the Energy Sector based in Brussels. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high-value data platforms and analytical tools used by market analysts, meteorologists, and data scientists to support strategic decisions.

You will be part of a feature team responsible for building and enhancing data-intensive applications in a modern cloud-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new software tools and features tailored to energy market analysis needs.
• Build and maintain scalable, robust data pipelines for time series and market-related data.
• Manage development cycles, CI/CD processes, and infrastructure deployments.
• Provide technical support to end-users such as analysts and data scientists.
• Ensure code quality, documentation, and best practices in software architecture.
• Collaborate within an Agile team structure and contribute to cross-functional project delivery.

Profile & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software and/or data engineering.
• Strong expertise in Python and cloud-based environments (AWS preferred).
• Deep understanding of data architecture, Big Data technologies, and software design principles.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Fluent in English.
