BMB is seeking a high-impact Procurement & Category Management Manager to lead its procurement strategy, optimize supplier relationships, and drive profitability in a highly dynamic market.

This role offers the opportunity to make a strategic impact, driving EBITDA optimization, and improving supplier negotiations, cost savings, and supply chain integration.

• You will work with advanced procurement tools such as Sievo, Bonsai, and Ecovadis to enhance spend analysis, supplier transparency, and sustainability.
• You will also build strong partnerships, collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance, as well as cross-OpCo teams to maximize efficiency.
• This is a leadership role where you will develop a high-performing team, driving talent development, digital transformation, and procurement excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a category management & procurement strategy that enhances profitability.
• Optimize procurement processes through data-driven decision-making, improving master data quality and supplier negotiations.
• Lead seven direct reports and two indirect reports, fostering a strong performance-driven culture.
• You will also leverage cross-OpCo collaboration to drive group-wide procurement synergies and ensure alignment with ESG strategies, implementing sustainable product initiatives.

Who Are We Looking For?

• We are looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in procurement, category management, or a purchasing manager role within the building materials industry or adjacent sectors.
• The ideal candidate has strong negotiation skills, with the ability to balance supplier power dynamics and optimize cost structures.
• A hands-on and analytical mindset is essential, as is comfort with digital tools to drive data-driven procurement strategies.
• This role requires proven leadership experience, with the ability to develop talent and foster a collaborative culture.
• You must be fluent in Flemish & English (spoken and written) and hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Management, or a relevant field.
