Bosal Energy has 20 years’ of experience in development, testing and production of highly effective heat exchangers. Bosal Energy is part of the Bosal group which was founded in 1923 in the Netherlands and mainly known as a global tier one automotive supplier. Bosal Group employs about 2200 people in 16 different countries.

For our Bosal Energy Division we’re currently looking for an Application Engineer Energy in Lummen (Belgium):

Bosal Energy is determined to take a leading position in the emerging renewable energy markets and provides specific heat exchanger solutions for all emerging technologies which will play an increasing role in the near future.

In this role you will take the technical responsibility for a product line within our Energy Group and making sure the product line meets market requirements.

Your responsibilities:

• You will drive the knowhow creation for your product line and assure this knowhow is consolidated and made available for the team;
• Responsible for the product definitions within your product line;
• Planning, organizing, coordinating and monitoring the product development process in order to achieve the milestones and the deliverables of the project;
• You will take full responsibility and leadership for the problem solving with regard to the product definition, for your projects. You facilitate consensus and trade-offs in reaching the project goals;
• Technical communication with the customer and co-development teams with regard to your assigned projects. Within this responsibility you support Sales with technical presentations at the customer;
• Monitoring the availability ‘in time and in full’ of the required documentation in line with the existing procedures for the Product Creation Process;
• Maintenance of the product configuration of your products until End Of Life of the product.

Your skills and experience:

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in an industrial product development environment for related products. Experience with heat exchangers, energy recuperation or alternative energy applications is a big plus;
• Familiar with industrial product development processes;
• Basic know how of heat resistant sheet metal properties and sheet metal manufacturing processes;
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
