Are you an expert in maintenance and ready to play a key role in the further professionalisation of maintenance processes? For our client, Vandemoortele, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer Europe.
Vandemoortele is an international food company with Belgian HQ (Ghent), and European market leader in 2 product groups: plant-based food solutions and bakery products.
Your base of operations is the HQ in Ghent, but you will travel up to 60% to production sites in Belgium and Europe.
Your Role
As Maintenance Engineer Europe, you will be part of the Operations Team within the bakery division. Your mission: the implementation of our roadmap for “Operational Excellence in Maintenance” for various production sites in Europe.
- Together with the Maintenance Manager Europe, you are responsible for defining and implementing standards, procedures and KPIs for maintenance and asset care.
- You train, coach and support local maintenance teams, lead change projects and promote benchmarking and best practices.
- You implement maintenance methodologies such as preventive and predictive maintenance and perform complex Root Cause Analyses.
- You ensure uniformity in the use of the maintenance ERP system (SAP PM).
Your profile
- You obtained a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (preferably electromechanics).
- You have a solid experience in professional maintenance within an industrial production environment.
- You have good knowledge of asset and maintenance management methodologies; experience with SAP PM is a plus.
- Strong analytical and people management skills, with experience in change processes.
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch is a great plus.
- You live in Belgium (or willing to relocate) and you are flexible to travel 60% of your time within Europe (part of which in BE/NL).
