We are looking for a Material Coordinator for our client.
Function
Responsible for setting up the stores containers and fenced laydown areas on- site.
Responsible for receipting and checking of materials delivered to site.
Responsible for the safe unloading and transporting of materials delivered to site.
Responsible for the safe storage of construction materials on-site.
Responsible for issuing and transporting materials from stores areas to site locations.
Responsible for updating and maintaining the Material Management System database (IFS) when materials are receipted and issued.
Maintains high focus on HSSE during all activities within the stores and laydown areas.
Manages the safe access and egress in and around the stores and laydown areas. Has an awareness of the construction schedule and highlights any potential issues as to the availability of materials for upcoming works.
Ensures the client management and site security are aware of delivery vehicle schedule on a daily basis.
Ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities and accountabilities have been defined and communicated to material delivery drivers.
Ensure all delivery company workers within their area(s) of control are aware of the site rules with regards vehicle management and minimum level of PPE to be worn to perform their work in a safe, legal and competent manner including any Health and Safety and site-specific inductions (if required).
Monitors and performs preservation routines on stored items prior to installation
Requirements
Qualifications:
Typically minimum qualified to ISCED Level 5 (technical diploma / apprenticeship) or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
VCA Basic qualified for occupational Safety, Health and Environment management
Licenced to operate telehandler / forklift (3te All Terrain)
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Appropriate level of experience with Material Management databases.
Experience in a relevant industry
Experienced user of the IFS Material Management system
English speaking (both written and oral) – Dutch is a plus
