CDH are partnered with a leading manufacturing company in West Flanders who are looking for an experienced Senior System Engineer with strong expertise in Wintel and Azure environments for a long-term freelance mission.

You will play a crucial role in supporting, optimising, and evolving the client's hybrid infrastructure, ensuring system stability, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Wintel (Windows + Intel) based systems and infrastructure
• Lead Azure-based cloud integrations and migrations, ensuring hybrid environments run smoothly
• Monitor and optimise system performance, security, and availability
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors
• Provide 3rd-line support for complex infrastructure issues
• Participate in project-based work, including upgrades, automation, and modernisation initiatives
• Document solutions and maintain configuration standards

Your Profile

• Minimum 7+ years of experience as a System Engineer
• Strong hands-on expertise with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualisation (VMware or Hyper-V)
• Solid experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, Azure AD, Security & Governance tools)
• Scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell) is a strong asset
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus
• Fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken)
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and a team player
