Operations Excellence Manager

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a new Operations Excellence Manager for our Contract Logistics (CL) Belgium organization. You support management, executives and employees within Belgium with Engineering and IT Projects, Change Management, LEAN, Quality, Environment.

You will roll out policy for Operations Excellence and drive engineering site teams to bring operational excellence within CEVA Contract Logistics operations in Belgium (4 sites).

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

You will work in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment. In this role, you report to the Contract Logistics Belgium Director and dotted line to the Director Solutions & Operational Excellence Benelux. You will interact frequently with central and Benelux functions to bring right expertise to the Belgium operations. In this position you are part of the Belgium CL Management team.

Within your team you manage the Engineering, LEAN, IT and Quality teams across the sites.

Naturally, you monitor the results and progress. Correct deviations where necessary. In addition, you will focus on the following tasks:

• Lead and inspire Operational excellence team within Belgium team
• Develop and implement improvement programs in accordance with applicable procedures and standards;
• Proactively identifying and reporting with your team opportunities for process improvement/ Kaizen;
• Follow-up and monitor ongoing IT and Engineering Projects;
• Supervise and carry-out assessments and lean audits;
• Driving innovations and take part in transformational projects within CL Belgium;
• Inspiring and motivating the sites to further develop the LEAN culture;

Role is based in Willebroek but is covering full Belgium scope, as such requiring regular presence on the different sites (currently mainly from Antwerp to Charleroi)

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

For the position of Operations Excellence Manager, we are looking for candidates who meet the following profile. You have lean & continuous improvement part of your DNA, you have excellent organizational skills and are able to build, manage and inspire a team. You are comfortable in matrix organization and able to inspire and influence change. In addition, you are a self-starter who strives for optimal results, with strong communication skills at all levels within an organization. You also have:

• a completed university education (Logistics, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering);
• extensive experience in LEAN warehousing;
• strong project management experience;
• experience with SLAs and KPIs driven work;
• experience in planning and managing budgets;
• affinity with IT systems
• Fluency/ Working level capabilities in English, as well as strong level French and Dutch
