Project Engineer


Cenergie was born from a bold vision of the University of Antwerp: to develop solutions for sustainable energy use and energy management. Since 1997, we have led as an independent consultancy and advisory firm, specializing in energy management. We have evolved into a specialist in innovative sustainable energy concepts and advanced building technologies. Our strength lies in conducting thorough energy audits and providing impactful policy support.


The Position:

As a project engineer, you will be involved in projects related to sustainable construction, working throughout all phases of the construction process, from preliminary design to delivery, alongside the Project Manager:

  • You will conduct studies and calculations for the sizing of technical installations.
  • For the selected techniques, you will design plans, create specifications, and compile bill of quantities.
  • Your designs and concepts will be based on a solid understanding of sustainable special techniques.
  • You will be able to independently manage small projects.

What We Expect From You:

  • You have a degree in engineering in the field of installation technology or construction or an equivalent level through professional experience.
  • You have a solid knowledge of special techniques (HVAC, electricity, building management systems, and control technology) or strong specialization in one of these areas.
  • You are passionate about sustainable construction, technological development, and environmental innovation.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD/Stabicad.
  • Good knowledge of Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • You are able to work accurately and meet deadlines.
  • You are a team player.


Additional Advantages:

  • A good knowledge of general construction, building physics, and installation technology.
  • Knowledge of standards and guidelines.
  • A basic knowledge of French.
  • A valid driver's license (B).
