Global IT Director

Cross International partners with Plastiflex to find their new Global IT Director, a strategic leadership role that will be key to the organization’s success and growth.

Plastiflex, with headquarters based in Beringen, is a global manufacturer of applications for air and fluid management for healthcare and industrial products. Plastiflex operates with a footprint of 13 entities across 3 continents Europe, NA and Asia. The company has been heavily focused on international expansion and, through multiple acquisitions, has established a strong global presence. With this exponential growth come significant challenges—think system integrations, increasing complexity in ERP and IT infrastructure, data modeling, visualization, and global stakeholder management.

As Global IT Director, your primary responsibility is to ensure the stable and secure functioning of all information systems. The role requires a seasoned professional who knows how to prioritize and balance both strategic and operational responsibilities in a rapidly scaling global environment. You will lead and develop a global IT team, oversee projects and system integrations, and make high-level decisions on escalations—knowing when to go into detail and when to delegate.

You will work closely with the CFO and leadership team to define the IT strategy and manage budgets. In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, external suppliers continuously promise the latest technology. A key part of your role will be distinguishing between what is truly needed and what can be optimized using existing in-house resources.

Candidate Requirements:

• Extensive experience in IT leadership within a manufacturing or industrial environment. We are looking for a mature leader with a clear vision to address complex challenges.
• A broad understanding of the IT landscape, with extensive experience in ERP applications as well as Power BI, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
• Strong project management experience, with the ability to lead projects and collaborate with both internal IT teams and external service providers.
• The ability to switch seamlessly between a high-level global perspective and localized operational issues.
• Fluency in English is required; Dutch is useful but not essential.
