YOUR RESPONSABILITIES

You will be the company’s second-in-command, working closely with the Founder-CEO. You will be responsible for the efficient execution of the business plans.

As our COO you will own the operational side of the business, getting all parts of the company aligned to execute the strategy, while also acting as the counterpart and sounding board of the CEO. To lead our operations, you will be decision-oriented with excellent people management skills, business acumen, and exemplary work ethics.

You will be passionate by events/e-commerce, with a problem solving and hands-on approach. You work closely with the Founder-CEO of Cross-Border Commerce Europe to design, the overall scalable plan for the company and ensure its execution. Furthermore, you will :

• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
• Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
• Standardise repeatable and predictable processes
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
• Identify efficiency improvements and introduce appropriate systems, processes and controls
• Implement strategies, plans and procedures to increase the company’s agility
• Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics
• Participate in expansion activities
• Oversee the work of executives
• Manage relationships with partners/vendors

YOUR PROFILE

Managing and implementing structure is your passion. You master business development with a proven national or international B2B e-commerce sales track record enabling you to leverage this European challenge.

• 10 -15 years' of executive experience
• Strategic planning and business development experience
• Strong written and verbal and presentation skills
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• You understand business functions such as HR, Finance, Sales & Marketing, etc.
• Managing a team is your second nature
• You are ambitious and driven individual, looking for a new fast paced challenge in a startup environment
• You demonstrate competency in strategic planning and business development
• You have working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
• You have working knowledge of IT/business infrastructures, your DNA is digital
• You have outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• You have excellent interpersonal skills
• You can work under pressure, with tight deadlines
• You demonstrate aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
• You are open to feedback and quick to learn
• You are fluent in Dutch, English and French. English native is a plus
• Experience in events and eCommerce industry will be a significant plus

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across the organization. Your primary goal will be to increase our organization's productivity, efficiency, and profitability. You will advise the CEO on key operational insights as well as provide coaching to employees.
