Functieomschrijving Antwerpen - As a Front End engineer you will join our teams that work on Digital Article Editing and build technology on React and Typescript. For us it’s crucial that all team members are multi-skilled. We use and build technology based on the AWS Cloud using all the serverless technologies like Lambda’s, DynamoDB and API Gateway. Most of our backend services are written in TypeScript. You’ll work with a small team that is experienced with remote pairing. You’ll be in control of the technology choices and work closely with an architect to ensure cross-domain and team decisions allow us to keep iterating on our products quickly and reliably. On a daily basis hundreds of journalists of our major brands publish thousands of articles on our products such as AD, HLN, de Volkskrant. With our teams for Digital Article Editing we build an article editing environment that is reliable, collaborative and predictable. Heck, articles shared between Volkskrant and de Morgen can be shared in the original design of the original publication. Different profiles, one TEAM. As a team, you are responsible for the design, low-level architecture, build, QA testing and delivery of software. We live by the baseline: ‘you build it, you run it’. Frontend: utilize your expertise in React, HTML, CSS, NextJS, and TypeScript to deliver high-quality web applications. Assist our backend colleagues where familiarity with NodeJS, AWS Lambda, Java, Spring, MongoDB, Maven, and Gradle will be beneficial. Solid understanding of backend development to effectively integrate with our team’s workflow. Basic understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Test-Driven Development/Behavior-Driven Development (TDD/BDD), SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, and Clean Code practices.
