Functional Analyst - Banking

Our client in the banking sector is looking for a Senior Functional Analyst who can help on building and maintaining the core securities systems of the bank and in this case more specific Custody & Corporate Actions.

Context:

Your responsibilities as a Senior Analyst are multifaceted and wide-ranging. You will understand the business requirements and you will manage analysis & technical tasks. You will work closely with the Scrum Master, your team members and the Product Owner.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis & design of change requests, enhancement requests as well as configuration changes to software applications to meet the users/business requirements,
• Document and assist in defining the functional and technical requirements of the application,
• Create, execute and document unit tests necessary to ensure that an application or technical environment meets functional and performance requirements,
• Support the release and deployment teams in the different environments,
• Support the end users and investigate / solve incidents,
• Keeping up with the latest developments of programming languages, tools and methodologies.

Profile:

• Bachelor or master level in Computer Science or in Information Technology or similar by experience;
• Strong interest in bank environment in order to understand the needs of the business, knowledge of investment products such as bonds & shares, their lifecycle and knowledge of corporate actions and custody / global custody activities;
• Dutch or French mother language with a practical knowledge of the second language and a good knowledge of English;
• Experience in Agile Scrum methodology;
• Proactive and can take up the driver’s seat during ideation, refinement and execution process;
• Good maturity, stability & communication skills;

• Excellent demonstration of problem-solving skills;
• Methodical, organized, result and quality driven, have the ability to document clearly and methodically;
• Customer focused and demonstrate team work;

• Experience in testing and test automation (HP Quality Center, Ruby, Cucumber, …) is of added value;
• Experience in mainframe and Java development & framework;
• Knowledge of following is an added value:

-Cobol, SQL, IMS-DBMS, SPUFI;

-Communication gateway’s (API, File Transfer, Kafka, …);

-Web Services (SOAP, REST, …);

-Tools & Technologies (J2EE, Camunda, Redash, Elastic, Grafna, Slack, mongoDB, Maven, Git, Jenkins, Tomcat, Apache Nifi, Kubernetes, Keycloak, ...)
