Software Engineer – C# .Net

A great opportunity for an experienced C# .Net Software Engineer to join a very friendly team within a leading innovation-focused international technology company. The Software Engineer is responsible for working on customer support tools, web applications, and integrations to support our businesses and will be located at least 2 days a week in our Gent, Belgium office, with the rest of the time spent working from home in Belgium. In this role, in a typical day you will: Develop and maintain robust different tools in your scrum team, making sure they meet all the functional and non-functional requirements Innovate and develop new solutions as part of a team Participate in peer code reviews Stay up to date on software technology and tools Exchange technical information with your colleagues Follow and help optimize installed processes, policies and procedures The essential requirements of the job include: You have at least 3-4 years of experience in building and maintaining web applications and tools with proven knowledge in C# and the .Net framework (React skills would be advantageous but isn't critical) You have strong analytical skills, a good focus on quality, and want to produce clean code and architectures. You work well together with other developers, UX Engineers, testers, support people, and management, helping everybody to excel in their specializations. You love experimenting with new technologies and concepts, bringing them forward to the team, while having respect for adoption difficulties and proposed alternatives. You are proficient in spoken and written English. Any other language is appreciated. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, or informatics, or can prove comparable skills through experience. Experience with legacy systems is a plus.
