HVAC System Owner

Hobson Prior is looking for an HVAC System Owner to join our client's dynamic team.

Purpose of the Role

As the HVAC System Owner, you will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of HVAC systems. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support, conducting root cause analyses, and managing projects within utility processes. You will coordinate and implement improvements to operational processes within Technical Operations, ensuring alignment with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality, and safety guidelines. Your ultimate goal will be to maintain optimal capacity and performance of HVAC systems, significantly contributing to the broader production process.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Root Cause Analysis:

• Provide ongoing technical support for HVAC systems, addressing operational issues and troubleshooting as needed.
• Conduct root cause analyses to identify system failures, inefficiencies, or issues and implement corrective actions.

System Monitoring & Optimization:

• Monitor HVAC system performance and ensure systems are operating at peak efficiency.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system functionality, energy efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

Project Management:

• Lead or contribute to projects aimed at upgrading, modifying, or maintaining HVAC systems within the facility.
• Ensure HVAC-related projects are executed on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), quality, and safety regulations.
• Maintain adherence to applicable standards set by official auditing bodies related to HVAC systems and utility processes.
• Actively participate in safety and quality audits and inspections as required.

Collaboration & Training:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams in Technical Operations to ensure HVAC systems support the overall operational goals.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on the proper operation, maintenance, and safety protocols of HVAC systems.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain thorough documentation of HVAC system performance, troubleshooting efforts, root cause analyses, and improvement initiatives.
• Report on HVAC system status, improvements, and any incidents or non-conformities to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in managing HVAC systems in a regulated environment (preferably cGMP or similar).
• Strong technical background in HVAC systems, including troubleshooting, optimization, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with quality assurance, safety, and compliance standards (GMP, industry regulations).
• Experience with project management and process improvement in technical operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct thorough root cause analyses.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide technical support and training.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC technologies and sustainability initiatives is a plus.
