Financial Consolidation & Reporting Specialist


THE COMPANY: Interparking, a Belgian company based in Brussels, is one of the top European car park operators. It is present in 420 cities in 9 countries and serves, with its 1009 car park operations and 420.000 spaces, more than 120 million customers every year. Interparking has a long-term approach to business, has been CO2 neutral for 6 years and has been awarded various environmental and quality awards. The financial statements are prepared and published following the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). To strengthen its Finance department, Interparking wishes to hire a Financial Consolidation & Reporting Specialist .   TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (non-exhaustive list) You will reinforce an existing team made of the CFO and three Controllers. Your main activities will be: 1.     Consolidation: -       Handle the monthly closing for the main shareholders (incl. FV calculation, impairment test, presentation to the board, preclosing overviews, any specific request…); -       Perform the quarterly and annual consolidations using the consolidation tool Prophix (former Sigma) in IFRS with the rest of the team. 2.     Controlling & reporting: -       Ensure the monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting towards the management and shareholders; -       Ensure a good capital expenditure follow-up and reporting; -       Participate in the set up of budgets and forecasts with the rest of the team; -       Analyze differences in forecasts but also versus actuals; -       Ensure the reporting of the budget and forecasts towards the management and shareholders. 3.     Accounting & Auditing -       Being the main contact point for the auditors in Belgium but also at group level (follow-up of their work and requests, respect of the deadlines, planning, debrief, fee discussions….); -       Prepare the quarterly IFRS 16 information, including the update of the information and preparation of the postings for all the companies of the group; -       Yearly update on IAS 19 pension provision for the group and preparation of the postings for all the companies of the group; -       Preparation of the yearly IFRS financial statements. 4.     Treasury: This job will mainly consist in supporting the team for: -       Analyzing needs and credit balance; -       Following advance between Group companies; -       Following loans and bank relations; -       Following investments and analyze projects. 5.     Other -       Participate in any upcoming project impacting the group (recent examples: Change of shareholder structure, SAP migration, BI tool, full transition to IFRS…) PROFILE AND COMPETENCIES PROFILE AND COMPETENCIES:   -       Master Degree in Applied Economics, Finance & Accountancy or Commercial Engineer; -       Minimum 5 years professional experience ideally in one of the Big 4 or in a Controlling function; -       Fluent in French and/or Dutch, very good knowledge in English; -       Knowledge of IFRS is essential; -       Knowledge of the Belgian Accountancy is an asset; -       Knowledge of SAP is an asset; -       Vey good communication skills; -       Excellent organizational and relational skills, rigorous, analytical and synthetic mind; -       Team worker, open minded, autonomous and proactive; -       Persevering, flexible and stress resistant.
