Teamleader Customs

YOUR CHALLENGES

As our Teamleader Customs, you will be responsible for the ongoing development and daily management of our team (7 colleagues). Your range of responsibilities will include the preparation of customs declarations in the system in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. In consultation with the customer, you will determine the appropriate customs tariff codes. You will verify the accuracy of the data provided and perform checks on the customs documents. Additionally, you will resolve files and handle them appropriately, providing necessary information to internal forwarders and external customers. You will also ensure effective cooperation with customs officers. Moreover, you will participate in various internal and external projects such as digitalization and employee productivity initiatives. You will maintain communication with customers and other departments, always aiming to deliver a high level of customer service.

You will use your strong people management skills to guide a diverse team of employees, supporting their development and enhancing their skills. You will also work with the manager to implement operational and systematic flows.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

We are seeking an experienced people manager with expertise in customs or logistics coordination. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of ocean and air imports and exports, with a focus on customs procedures. They should be a team player who aims to develop their team and differentiate our services from other logistics suppliers. Proficiency in digital tools and an interest in new technologies are essential, as the candidate will participate in various projects. Strong customer orientation and networking skills are important for developing professional relationships. Additionally, the candidate should be a good communicator, fluent in both Dutch and English.
