Demand Planner

Main responsibilities

Demand Planner

• Central and strategic role that sits at the intersection of supply chain management, sales and business analytics.
• To be the cornerstone of the logistics optimization: supply, inventory, distribution...
• Drive the demand and inventory levels: forecasting customer demand to predict sales trends and take inventory decisions.
• Develop/ propose demand forecast accuracy reporting and monthly monitoring.
• Organize demand management review monthly.

Network Planner

• Responsible for the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation and delivery.
• Manage cross-country inventory levels, review upcoming out of stocks and or obsolete risks.
• Propose cost-reduction strategies, for example reduction of stocking points, after alignment with the Key Principal Manager.
• Implement and coordinate S&OP for key principals at regional level.
• Execute the purchase of distribution products.
• Align and coordinate with local Inventory Managers the expedition of distribution products & cross company transport orders.

People Management

• Coordinate and manage the country inventory teams through working together on the processes and common objectives.
• Coordinate and monitor central network planner performance during stock centralization for key principals.
• Managing internal & external stakeholder relations.

Qualifications and skills

• Master degree in transport/logistics or commercial management or equivalent depending on experience. APICS certificate an additional asset.
• Min 3 years experience in inventory, warehousing and planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using SAP.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the business processes and organization.
• Good knowledge of inventory management principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Problem solving skill, determination to persist through challenges.
• Course on Supply Chain and/ or Sales and Operation planning is a plus.
• Professional level of English is required. Any additional language is beneficial.
• Readiness to travel.
