Position Summary


We are looking for a collaborative, motivated Global Portfolio Manager to work with a wide range of regional and group teams to maximise profitable growth of a specified product portfolio across the group.


You will work with teams globally to ensure that customer needs are heard, met and translated into viable business cases. You will support your colleagues with information, materials, training and guidance, to develop the profile of your portfolio and achieve the portfolio’s operational objectives.


This role will drive innovation in our product offer, targeting profitable growth and leveraging best practice from around the group.


Specific responsibilities include:


  • Ensure the portfolio meets the operational plan, goals and objectives
  • Ensure portfolio is in-line with Pelsis Vision
  • Work within the Innovation Triangle (Portfolio, Marketing, R&D/Design) and the Commercial Triangle (Portfolio, Sales and Marketing) to achieve portfolio objectives
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify opportunities
  • Work closely and collaboratively with our global supply base to develop partnerships which drive sales and new product opportunities
  • Collate competitor information and contribute to competitor and market analysis
  • Understand user needs
  • Track and follow customer and consumer trends
  • Develop mechanisms to collate VOC and ensure this is communicated and represented
  • Accompany regional teams to customer meetings, supporting them at execution of events (tradeshows, seminars etc)
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the manufacturing / sourcing process around the portfolio
  • Identify growth opportunities and work with regional teams and the Global Portfolio Lead to develop growth plans
  • Create NPD briefing documents, compiling needs and requirements from across all regions
  • Support product launches and ensure sales regions are fully supported with materials, training, information etc
  • Analyse and report on the portfolio and product performance
  • Identify rationalisation opportunities and ensure an optimised exit from the portfolio
  • Ensure Regional Product Managers are supported with data / information / materials
  • Support the Brand & Marketing teams with information and materials
  • Deliver training to regional teams and customers


The ideal candidate has:


  • Proven work experience as Product Manager or similar role in a chemical product environment
  • Good commercial experience, with an entrepreneurial approach
  • Innovative mindset
  • Good influencing skills; a strong personality who inspires confidence and is good at establishing strong relationships
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Data and analysis literate
  • Confident in data-led decision making
  • Ability to work across channels and segment users
  • Good knowledge of portfolio products and/or the pest control market
  • Ability to work with cross-functional and cross-regional teams
  • Fluent in Business English
