Equipment Project Engineer

The Equipment Project Engineer develops, implements, and commissions automated machines and installations for production and logistics.

This includes technical and automation development, optimization of production flows, compliance with GxP and cleanroom requirements, implementation and change management, technical documentation and training, and life cycle management of installations.

💡 Your mission:

  • Work on projects related to automated machines and installations in production and logistics, from scoping, design, installation, and commissioning to handover to maintenance and operations.
  • Execute full projects independently and collaborating as a project team member on larger projects.
  • Apply analytical Six Sigma tools and knowledge of lean manufacturing and OEE.
  • Take responsibility for the technical aspects of automation, including robotics, vision systems, PLCs, and having sufficient knowledge of electricity and mechanics.
  • Act as a technical SME for advanced automated installations such as Pick & Place robots, cobots, vision systems, electromagnetic transport systems, Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems, PLC controls, supervision, and Building Management Systems.
  • Provide second-line support for maintenance technicians on complex technical issues and troubleshooting
  • Plan, execute, and document modifications to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

🔍 What about you:

  • Master's degree in Automation or Electromechanics.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an industrial production environment in maintenance or automation.
  • Strong technical knowledge of production equipment and maintenance processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in implementing preventive maintenance and continuous improvement projects.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
