Test Automation Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Specialist to join our dynamic team in Liège. As a key member of our testing team, you will be responsible for automating and optimizing testing processes across various platforms and technologies. This role requires a strong technical background with expertise in Linux, networking protocols, API testing, and automation tools, as well as proficiency in programming languages like Python and Java.

Responsibilities

• You will design, develop, and execute automated tests for applications and systems, ensuring high-quality releases.
• You will develop and maintain testing scripts using Python, Java, Selenium, and pytest.
• You will perform API testing to validate functionality and integration points.
• You will collaborate with development teams to integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
• You will leverage network debugging and sniffing tools (e.g., Wireshark) to troubleshoot issues and validate protocols.
• You will test network protocols based on the OSI layer, including TCP, UDP, SNMP, ICMP, DHCP, IPv4, and IPv6.
• You will conduct UI testing to ensure application usability and quality.
• You will perform WiFi-related testing and troubleshooting.
• You will support Docker-based containerized environments for testing purposes.
• You will ensure test cases are efficiently documented, executed, and reported.

Requirements

• You have expertise in building scalable frameworks through abstraction layers and interfaces in Python and Java.
• You possess strong Linux knowledge and have experience in Linux-based environments.
• You have a deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP, UDP, SNMP, ICMP, DHCP, IPv4, IPv6) based on the OSI Layer.
• You are experienced with network debugging tools and sniffing tools, especially Wireshark.
• You are proficient in API testing and working with various web services.
• You have hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and automation integration.
• You are familiar with Docker for containerized testing.
• You have strong skills in UI testing, with the ability to create automated scripts for frontend testing.
• You possess expertise in object-oriented programming, particularly in Python and Java.
• You have experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium and pytest.
• You have knowledge of WiFi protocols and hands-on testing experience with WiFi-related issues.
• You have an excellent command of English, with proficiency in Dutch or French.
• Preferred Skills:
• You have previous experience in a similar Test Automation Specialist role.
• You have experience working in an Agile environment.
• You have knowledge of additional testing tools and frameworks.
