Our client, active in the Transportation/Railway industry is looking for a Sr. Linux/Devsecops Engineer.

You will be part of the DEVSECOPS team driving secure automation of the software delivery pipeline with key responsibilities such as:

• Analyze, develop, and implement procedures for automating software deployment (custom applications, operating systems, utility software, etc.), including the tools required monitoring.
• Analyze, develop, and implement procedures for automating hardware deployment (servers, workstations, network devices), including the tools required for monitoring.
• Work closely with the team to ensure a seamless handover for nationwide deployment.
• Assist the team during the rollout by identifying and resolving issues, while gathering feedback to continuously enhance automation tooling and procedures.
• Test, document, and implement new technologies and concepts to enhance the DEVSECOPS tooling & pipeline.
• Second level support for the internal software and IT equipment in the different zones.
• Determine threats and risks in software and network architectures.
• Analyze and make proposals to improve the security exposure of the existing infrastructure.
• Execute code reviews to ensure a Security by Design approach is applied.
• Assess vulnerability reports, recommend mitigations, and ensure their implementation after approval.

Must have Technical skills/knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (CentOS, Red Hat)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python, …)
• Expertise in automation using Jenkins Pipelines and GitLab
• Solid understanding of Security by Design principles
• Good understanding of network components, topologies & protocols
• Experience with working in a production environment
• Must speak / understand Dutch, French and English

Knowledge of the following domains is an asset:

• Experience with Puppet is highly desirable
• HashiCorp Vault / LDAP
• PHP / PostgresSQL / Apache HTTP
• VMWare (ESXi / vCenter)
• Atlassian suite (Jira / Confluence / Git)
