Azure Solution Architect – 12 Months+ Freelance – Brussels/Remote

Our client is looking for a Senior Solution Architect to lead the design and deployment of their next-generation Pricing platform on Microsoft Azure.

This is a one-year project with mostly remote work, where you’ll take charge of transforming the architecture to meet stringent audit, security, and performance standards — all while supporting cutting-edge innovation.

What You’ll Do

As the Senior Solution Architect, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping a secure, scalable, and future-ready cloud environment. Your role will include:

• Architecting the Future: Design and evolve a robust Azure-based platform that aligns with business goals, audit findings, and industry best practices.
• Cloud Security & Governance: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), RBAC, and DTAP environments to enhance security, compliance, and deployment hygiene.
• Optimizing for Scale: Drive cost efficiency, resource optimization, and performance improvements across the Azure environment.
• Automation & CI/CD: Lead the push for automated deployment pipelines, reducing manual steps and increasing release velocity.
• Data & AI Integration: Support AI and machine learning initiatives with technologies like Azure Databricks and Elasticsearch.
• Compliance & Monitoring: Put in place governance frameworks, regulatory controls, and centralized monitoring to ensure reliability and transparency.

Requirements

• 8+ years in Solution Architecture, with at least 5 years of hands-on Azure experience.
• Proven background in cloud security, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, etc.).
• Familiarity with AI-powered pricing, ML models, and tools like Azure Databricks and Elasticsearch is a bonus
• Strong communication and leadership skills to align stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
• English fluent speaker
• Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or TOGAF are a bonus.
