Computer Vision Engineer – Brussels, Belgium (Freelance)
Context
My client based in Brussels, is looking to expand its innovation team with a Computer Vision Engineer. You’ll be part of our dynamic team, responsible for researching, designing, and implementing state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms that power intelligent traffic and urban monitoring systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop novel computer vision models tailored to smart mobility.
- Implement and optimize algorithms for object detection, tracking, classification, segmentation, and anomaly detection.
- Design real-time vision pipelines for deployment on edge devices
- Evaluate and benchmark existing and new AI models for performance, scalability, and robustness.
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate vision capabilities into our client’s intelligence solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest advances in vision transformers, multimodal learning, and generative AI applications.
- Participate in AI-driven innovation projects, prototypes, and proofs of concept.
Key Experience
- Strong experience with Python and deep learning frameworks
- Solid understanding of computer vision fundamentals (feature extraction, optical flow, CNNs, 3D reconstruction).
- Experience deploying vision models on embedded systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with C++ and GStreamer is a bonus.
