PSA (Safety) Engineer

My client is seeking an experienced PSA Engineer to support the updating and enhancement of nuclear safety systems as part of the Lifetime Extension Project at a nuclear power plant. The role will focus on performing Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSA) to evaluate and improve the safety performance of the plant’s systems, structures, and components, ensuring that they continue to meet the highest safety standards throughout their extended operational life.

Location: Hybrid - Brussels, Belgium (2 days per week)

Start: May 2025

Contract length: 2 years+

Job Description:

• Proven experience in performing Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) for nuclear power plants or similar high-risk industries.
• Background in nuclear engineering, safety analysis, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex safety systems and recommend improvements
• Familiar with Excel/Access, Riskspectrum suite
• Python/C++/SQL (advantageous)
