Odoo Finance & Controlling Consultant

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Consultant with a first experience in finance and controlling with tech affinity. As Odoo Finance & Controlling Consultant, you'll be in regular contact with clients and will build a thorough understanding of their specific needs in terms of business business/IT alignment.

FUNCTION

Odoo Finance & Controlling Consultant, your specific tasks and responsibilities may include:

• Analyse financial management needs and propose solutions to manage it with (or beyond) Odoo
• Drive and challenge business requirements gathering sessions
• Act as a liaison agent between business and development team to transform new requirements into Odoo working features
• Animate finance related workshops on (large) Odoo implementations
• Build management reporting for our clients (P&L, Cash flow, Budgeting & forecasting, margin analysis)
• Realize accounting migrations projects in collaboration with junior profiles
• Develop financial expertise internally and eventually build a dedicated team
• Create and document the testing strategy (following industry best practices) and coordinate the test execution
• Create training material and documentation for Odoo users and train new end-users (train the trainer approach) on Odoo and related applications
• Accompany and train end users to the new tool
• Develop and maintain processes to continuously monitor data quality
• Deliver informative, well-organized demos to business teams
• Contribute to the daily development of Squareflow

PROFILE

• 2-3 years of work experience in a financial role
• First relevant experience in an ERP (ideally Odoo)
• Project management skills and good understanding of business processes
• Tech affinity and willing to work with/in Odoo on a daily basis
• Team player that can unlock the passion for finance internally
• Structural thinking
• Ability to work autonomously but also in team with a “Can Do attitude”
• Good knowledge of local accounting standards (BE GAAP, Lux GAAP, IFRS)
• Creatively and pragmatic in a problem-solving environment
• Fast-learner with a specific interest in Digital
• Good working knowledge of French, Dutch and English
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
