Role Purpose:
Are you the experienced Cyber Underwriter we are looking for to further grow our cyber book in Belgium? You would be working for the biggest Property & Casualty (P&C) insurer worldwide and locally form part of an ambitious and growing Benelux team. What will you do?
You set, implement and achieve underwriting goals for our Cyber portfolio. You ensure underwriting integrity through appropriate deployment of underwriting guidelines and controls, consistency of approach towards risk selection, pricing, and use of capacity whilst recognizing market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quoting new business for Cyber products
  • Ensuring the underwriting rationale is sound and documented
  • Draft comprehensive referrals when needed
  • Renewing existing business
  • Client facing activity to support sales
  • Identifying loss drivers, suggesting a course of action, getting an idea of its impact and implementing it with a timeline
  • Being attentive at market needs, reviewing newsletters and newspapers to better do so
  • Define our market strategy and product proposition
  • Identifying distribution to better serve our segments
  • Be clear on our product wording, pricing and added value to our clients
  • Ensuring proper portfolio management
  • Comply with internal legal and compliance processes
  • Think big picture to cross sell other product lines if possible
  • Work together with our Operations, Claims, Broker Management and Legal teams to deliver high quality products

Jouw profiel

Qualifications:
  • University degree or equivalent
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Market Experience required
  • Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the Cyber product line, the insurance market and competitors
  • Solid experience of dealing with brokers and clients.
  • Results driven with ability to make own decisions and work on own initiative.
