Your function

As a Legal Counsel, you will provide strategic legal support across various business functions, ensuring compliance and minimizing legal risks. Your responsibilities include:

• Assisting with daily legal matters such as contract negotiation, drafting, and dispute resolution.
• Offering business-focused legal advice and research to support operations.
• Developing and implementing policies on industry regulations, corporate governance, and compliance.
• Engaging with external parties, including regulators, legal advisors, and industry organizations.
• Drafting and updating contracts, policies, and legal documents to align with regulatory requirements.
• Monitoring regulatory changes to ensure company-wide compliance.
• Supporting transactional legal work, including M&A and structured finance, while liaising with external counsel when needed.

Your profile

• Master’s degree in Belgian Law
• Fluency in French or Dutch, with excellent English proficiency.
• 3-7 years of relevant legal experience, ideally in banking, litigation, tax, or commercial law.
• Ability to work independently with a proactive and hands-on approach.
• Strong attention to detail to assess legal implications thoroughly.
• Excellent analytical, research, communication, and drafting skills.
• A keen interest in staying informed on industry trends and regulatory developments.
