AGV or AMR Safety Engineer

For our client, a growing worldwide robotics company located in Lokeren, Belgium, we are looking for a talented AGV/AMR Safety Engineer to join their team. As part of a leading global organization in robotics, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of safety in cutting-edge robotics systems in logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Risk Assessments (RA): Conduct safety assessments on-site and at customer locations.
• Safety Requirements: Define and document safety requirements for robotics systems.
• Validation & Safety Compliance: Ensure hardware solutions meet safety standards using tools like BGIA Sistema.
• Safety Documentation: Create and maintain safety documentation for robotics systems.
• Collaborate & Train: Work with cross-functional teams to improve safety procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• A first experience with AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles) and/or AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots) is a must.
• Strong knowledge of Safety Directives like ISO 12100, ISO 13849, and IEC 60204.
• Experience in Risk Assessment and safety validation in industrial settings, ideally in robotics or automation.
• Fluency in English is a hard requirement.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
