Senior Accountant at an Ambitious Fintech Company

Our client is a growing and ambitious Fintech company based in Brussels (easy accessible), with a talented team of around 100 employees. As an expanding e-money institution, they are revolutionizing payment solutions – and they want you to be part of this exciting journey.

Your Role:

As the company continues to grow, our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team and help streamline their financial operations. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team and your responsibilities will include:

• Managing all GL accounting operations, ensuring smooth month-end closings (including cut-offs, entry revisions, reconciliations, salary postings, and reporting).
• Overseeing AP/AR operations and verifying accounting entries in collaboration with the accounting team.
• Ensuring compliance with legal and tax obligations, including preparing VAT returns, ISOC filings, and other statutory declarations.
• Assisting in the preparation for external audits, providing your expertise throughout the process.
• Participating in exciting accounting projects aimed at process improvement, such as automation, integration of new tools, and the design of accounting processes for new branches and consolidation efforts.
• Coaching two junior accountants, helping them develop their skills and grow within the company.

Profile :

• At least 5 years of experience
• A broad scope of experience, perhaps gained from working in a fiduciary environment, is an asset
• Good level of French and English
