What will you do as a Functional Analyst - Applications?

As a Functional Analyst - Applications at What’s Cooking?, you will be responsible for the correct operation, management and continuous improvement of a number of IT applications (ERP, PLM, Supply Chain Planning, WMS, EDI, ...) through a deeper technical insight into the active applications of What's Cooking? to further support business needs and optimize work processes. You will implement ERP & other business application softwares at various European production sites. You payattention to the management of the data and databases with which these systems works and the management of the business analysis and reporting systems based on these systems. Your goal is with the team of Applications Experts to ensure continuity, integrity and accuracy to guarantee the operation of all business processes that use the ERP system and related systems. • are Responsible for the daily management of a number of IT applications, in order to ensure optimal operation in one or more domains, especially:

  • In the domain of Supply Chain & Planning
  • In the domain of Procurement, R&I and FSQR

• help improve the use of the applications in consultation with the users, in order to further support business needs and optimize work processes. Actively thinks about continuously improving processes, taking into account the technical feasibility, reliability, maintainability, continuity and integrity of chosen solutions.

• coach and assist users in consultation with regard to the correct use of the applications, in order to broaden skills and self-reliance and to optimize work processes.

• monitor the configuration and parameter settings of applications.

• create or change, as appropriate, parameter settings, system setup, menus, logins and documentation. Actively supervise and prepare test scenarios and go-life scenarios.

• refine - in case customization and/or personalization cannot be avoided - and discuss the specifications with internal employees/colleagues or external partners and supervise the implementation by external partners, in order to implement the changes as quickly as possible.

• refine the functional specifications with your technical knowledge and discuss these with the business process owners or colleagues and test the functionalities after delivery.

• develop and maintain business applications (screens, reports, batch processing, interfaces, uploads), to ensure uniform and smooth operation.

• are part of one or more solver groups in the expertise domain and handle assigned tickets within the procedures and agreements of the Service Desk.

• constantly keep yourself informed of developments within the field, in order to offer a service that is continuously based on updated knowledge.

• are responsible for supporting, coaching and developing employees in order to make optimal use of their skills and to develop their competencies and know-how.

• transfer expertise within the field to the team of Applications Experts to guarantee long-term continuity.


What are your qualities?

• You have a bachelor degree and more than 5 years of experience in a similar function.

• You are recognized for your knowledge of our business environment and you have a good knowledge of ERP systems (at least one)

• You are a good communicator who develops and maintains good relationships on different levels.

• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• You are fluent in English and French.

• You are willing to travel on occasion to our European sites.
