To further expand Solar Solutionsone of our top-tier event concepts in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and beyond we are looking for a Business Unit Manager to drive its commercial strategy and operations.
Your role
As Business Unit Manager, you will oversee the growth and success of Solar Solutions in collaboration with our joint venture partner. Your key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing the commercial strategy while aligning with group objectives and local market needs.
- Expanding Solar Solutions internationally, securing a stronger market position across Europe.
- Enhancing the exhibitor and visitor experience through targeted audience engagement, industry innovations, and operational excellence.
- Translating industry trends, challenges, and opportunities into actionable insights, fostering knowledge exchange and networking.
- Building strong relationships with key technology and industry leaders, federations, and stakeholders.
- Supporting large key accounts, leading to international collaborations.
- Managing a team of 10 colleagues, ensuring smooth commercial and operational execution.
- Holding full P&L responsibility for your business unit.
- Reporting directly to the CEO.
Your profile
- Masters degree in Commercial Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent through experience.
- Already experience in business unit management, commercial strategy, or project management.
- Industry knowledge in Solar, Smart Storage, EV Charging, or Green HVAC is a strong plus.
- Experience in trade fairs and events is also an advantage.
- A strategic mindset with entrepreneurship and persuasiveness to drive growth.
- Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
- Ability to build and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Willingness to travel within Europe (~20%).
- Fluent in Dutch and English. The ability to speak other languages (German, French, Spanish,...) is an advantage.
